Teacher to attempt half marathon world record in viola dress

Alistair Rutherford, a music teacher from Birmingham, is attempting to break the Guinness world record for fastest half marathon run while dressed as a musical instrument. Alistair is dressing up as a viola and will compete in the Liverpool half marathon on April 2 to raise money for the poor in Johannesburg. His custom - made costume is produced from lightweight foam.
